SOCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM (SODES) PROJECT SUPPORT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Social Support Program (SODES) will be implemented by Mevlana Development Agency in the TR52 region (Karaman and Konya Provinces) as of 2019, under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Details regarding the program are below;

Purpose of the Social Support Program;

The purpose of the Social Support Program (SODES) is to address social problems arising from poverty, migration, and urbanization by mobilizing local dynamics, to respond to the needs created by the changing social structure, to enable disadvantaged segments of society to participate more actively in economic and social life, to increase employability, to support social inclusion, social entrepreneurship, and innovation, and to popularize social responsibility practices.

Priorities of the Social Support Program;

Increasing Employability

 
• Projects aimed at facilitating the participation of disadvantaged segments of society in employment,
 
• Reducing youth unemployment,
 
• Developing qualified and productive human capital in areas appropriate to the needs of the province and region,
 
• Developing vocational knowledge and skills,
• Supporting target groups who can establish their own businesses.

Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation

• Projects aimed at establishing social enterprises and increasing their capacities,
 
• Developing innovative models related to employability and social inclusion,
 
• Implementing centers, social laboratories, and incubation and acceleration programs operated by intermediary institutions that provide/will provide services in the fields of social entrepreneurship and social innovation, aimed at strengthening the ecosystem.

Social Inclusion

• Projects aimed at increasing the income level of social assistance recipients,
• Raising the quality of life of disadvantaged segments of society,
• Increasing the quality of services provided to disadvantaged segments.

Social Responsibility

 
• Projects that harmonize the social responsibility activities of the for-profit sector with regional priorities,
• Projects aimed at developing social responsibility practices in solving other priority areas and/or identified different social problems,
 
• Projects that prioritize the purchase of products and services from social enterprises, cooperatives, and economic enterprises of civil society organizations by for-profit companies.

Eligible Applicants;

 
• Public Institutions and Organizations, which are Non-profit or have a certain degree of Public Interest,
 
• Universities, Professional Organizations with Public Institution Status,
 
• Associations,
• Cooperatives,
• Civil Society Organizations,
 
• Organized Industrial Zones,
 
• Industrial Sites,
• Free Zone Operators,
• Technology Transfer Office Companies,
• Technology Development Zone,
• Industrial Zones,
 
• Managing Companies of Organizations such as Business Development Centers,
 
• Private Sector Organizations (Only for Social Responsibility Projects)

Project Budget;

The **minimum** project budget for projects to be supported under the program is 1,000,000 (one million) TL.

Co-financing;

The co-financing contribution for projects that can be owned by public institutions and non-profit organizations is a minimum of 10%, and for social responsibility projects where for-profit organizations are the applicants, the co-financing contribution is a minimum of 50%.

Project duration;

The implementation period for projects under these Procedures and Principles is a maximum of 18 (eighteen) months.

1. Submission/delivery of the Social Support Program (SODES) **Project Information Form**, “**Budget**” etc. Annexes to the Agency (Annex-2) and a **presentation of maximum five (5) slides summarizing the project**,

Application Deadline and Location:

Applications for this program, via the Information Form, must be submitted by hand to Mevlana Development Agency in Konya, or to the Karaman Investment Support Office in Karaman, by October 09, 2019, at 17:00, with all requested documents and a CD/DVD containing them, accompanied by an official letter/cover letter/petition. These documents must also be sent via electronic mail (e-mail) to pyb@mevka.org.tr.
