The 4th Term courses of the Techno-Entrepreneurship Course Program, which has been ongoing for three terms within the scope of the “Cooperation Protocol for Providing Techno-Entrepreneurship Courses” signed between Mevlana Development Agency, continuing its work in the TR-52 Konya-Karaman Region under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology General Directorate of Development Agencies, and universities in the Konya-Karaman Region, have started.

With the program, whose fourth term has started, it is aimed to strengthen the entrepreneurship infrastructure of the TR-52 Konya-Karaman Region, develop project ideas with potential for investment and commercialization, bring together entrepreneurial candidates and investors, and ensure that the structures forming the ecosystem work in coordination.

Evaluating the 4th Term Techno-Entrepreneurship Course Program, Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General Dr. İhsan Bostancı said, “Entrepreneurship, a subject on which countries have been conducting major studies especially in recent years and whose importance is increasing day by day depending on technological developments, has always been one of the areas we, as an Agency, have focused on and carried out many studies on since our establishment. In this direction, the Techno-Entrepreneurship Course Program, carried out within the cooperation protocol signed in 2021 with our six universities in Konya and Karaman provinces to develop technology and manufacturing-based entrepreneurship, has reached its 4th Term. Throughout the past three terms, elective Techno-Entrepreneurship courses were given to more than 800 students for 14 weeks in line with a special curriculum prepared by our universities under this protocol, aiming to develop students' entrepreneurial skills and to bring out innovative project ideas in the region. Students who developed successful project ideas after completing the theoretical course programs were included in free technical consultancy and mentorship processes and were then brought together with investors under the coordination of our Agency. It is an undeniable fact that such supports help students take a more active role in the entrepreneurship ecosystem and contribute to increasing the innovation potential in the region. Our Agency is working on various strategies to further develop and expand this process, aiming to disseminate the entrepreneurship culture by establishing collaborations with other stakeholders in the region. Thus, it is aimed to create a sustainable ecosystem for both students and entrepreneurs. As an Agency, approximately 128 students will be given Techno-Entrepreneurship courses in the 4th Term of the Techno-Entrepreneurship Course Program, the 2024-2025 academic year. This elective course is designed to encourage students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and generate innovative project ideas. As a result of the jury evaluations to be held at the end of the program, free technical consultancy and mentorship services will be provided to entrepreneurial candidates whose project ideas are found successful. These technical consultancy and mentorship services will play a critical role in helping entrepreneurs take their projects even further. In addition, comprehensive trainings on subjects such as business plan development, business idea project file preparation, and effective presentation techniques will be provided to ensure that entrepreneurial candidates are better prepared before meeting with investors. These trainings will enable young entrepreneurs to develop their professional skills and present their projects more effectively. The ultimate goal of these studies to be carried out is to raise awareness about entrepreneurship among our entrepreneurial candidates while they are still receiving their university education and to guide them in the process of commercializing their own business ideas. We have full faith that these services to be provided to our young entrepreneurs will lead to the emergence of new success stories. As an Agency, stating that our support for our entrepreneurial candidates, as well as all our stakeholders in our region, will continue to increase, we wish this study, which we believe will provide significant benefits to the entrepreneurship ecosystem in our region, to be beneficial, and we thank all our regional universities and their staff for their efforts and contributions in creating the protocol and delivering the courses.”
