A contract signing ceremony was held for the projects entitled to receive support in Konya within the scope of the 2024 Social Development Support Program carried out by Mevlana Development Agency, which continues its activities in the TR52 Konya-Karaman Region under the coordination of the T.R. Ministry of Industry and Technology.

The contracts for the projects entitled to receive support within the scope of the program were signed by Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General Dr. İhsan Bostancı and representatives of project owner institutions and organizations, under the supervision of Konya Governor and Mevlana Development Agency Chairman of the Board İbrahim Akın.

Evaluating the signing ceremony, Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General Dr. İhsan Bostancı said, “As Mevlana Development Agency, while we aim for the development of our region in every aspect with various support mechanisms we implement, on the other hand, we continue our efforts together with our stakeholders to attract national and international fund resources to our region and use them in line with the needs of our people. In this direction, as the Agency, within the scope of the Social Development Support Program (SOGEP), which has been coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, General Directorate of Development Agencies since 2018 and implemented locally by Development Agencies, we have transferred 90 Million TL of resources to 13 projects with the priorities of increasing employability, supporting social entrepreneurship, developing social inclusion and corporate social responsibility, and a balanced development perspective. Within the scope of the program we announced in 2024 and whose contracts we signed today, a total of 6 more projects, 5 from Konya and 1 from Karaman, were entitled to receive support. The resource allocated to our Agency for the projects found successful within the scope of our last announced program is 13 Million TL. With this result, our total support within the scope of this program has exceeded 100 Million TL. At the ceremony we organized today; we signed the contracts for the projects “SOGEP Geographically Indicated Flavors Route” carried out by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, “Door Opening from Virtual Reality to Employment with SOGEP” carried out by Kadınhanı District Directorate of National Education, “Female Accountants Participate in the Workforce with SOGEP” carried out by Konya Chamber of Certified Public Accountants, “Stitch by Stitch Anatolians from Hemp to Hadim Cloth” carried out by Muradın Olsun Social Art Culture and Education Solidarity Association, “Revitalization of Seljuk Wooden Toys and Kündekari Products” carried out by Konya Chamber of Furniture Makers and Artisans, under the supervision of our esteemed Governor. We have full faith that these projects, which will move to the implementation phase after the signing of the contracts and which we, as the Agency, are very happy to support, will make great contributions to the production, employment, export, gastronomy, historical and cultural heritage of our city and region. As the Agency, I would like to express once again that our support as an institution for projects that will contribute to the development of our Region and produce solutions to its problems will continue, and I offer my gratitude to all the institutions and organizations that are project owners and project partners who have put great effort into the realization of the project, and to our esteemed Governor who sponsored these projects, and I wish the projects to be beneficial for our city, region, and country,” he said.

Speaking about the projects whose contracts were signed, Konya Governor İbrahim Akın also said, “To benefit from a project, it is first necessary to prepare an acceptable project, apply, and be deemed worthy of support as a result of the evaluation. We see that these projects have been prepared with great effort, their applications have been made, and they have been found worthy of support in the evaluation process. I would like to thank all our friends who contributed to reaching this stage. I wish our projects to be auspicious and beneficial for their applicants. I believe that it will contribute to the employment, social development, and growth of our city. In the next process, we will continue to move towards our goals by implementing our projects as soon as possible,” he said.

After the speeches, at the ceremony held under the supervision of Governor İbrahim Akın; the contract for the SOGEP Geographically Indicated Flavors Route Project carried out by Konya Metropolitan Municipality was signed by Konya Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Ercan Uslu, the contract for the Stitch by Stitch Anatolians from Hemp to Hadim Cloth Project carried out by Muradın Olsun Social Art Culture and Education Solidarity Association was signed by Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, Hadim Mayor Mehmet Çetiner and Muradın Olsun Social Art Culture and Education Solidarity Association President Fatma Çakmak, the contract for the Door Opening from Virtual Reality to Employment with SOGEP Project carried out by Kadınhanı District Directorate of National Education was signed by Kadınhanı District Governor Muhammed Sait Baytok and Kadınhanı District Director of National Education Mehmet Yavuz, the contract for the Female Accountants Participate in the Workforce with SOGEP Project carried out by Konya Chamber of Certified Public Accountants was signed by Konya Chamber of Certified Public Accountants President Abdil Erdal, and the contract for the Revitalization of Seljuk Wooden Toys and Kündekari Products Project carried out by Konya Chamber of Furniture Makers and Artisans was signed by Konya Chamber of Furniture Makers and Artisans President Mehmet Günbaş.
