The “Yalıhüyük Textile Production Center Pre-Feasibility Project,” applied for by Yalıhüyük Municipality within the scope of the Mevlana Development Agency Technical Support Program, has been entitled to receive support. The project contract was signed by Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General İhsan Bostancı and Yalıhüyük Mayor Hasan Koçer.

Within the project, a feasibility study will be conducted for the Textile Production Center planned to be established in Yalıhüyük district to evaluate and develop the shared use possibilities of textile and wood production, which will contribute to the economic development of the textile sector and the sustainability of its socio-cultural values.

Making statements about the project after the contract signings as an Agency, Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General İhsan Bostancı said, “As an Agency, in addition to the financial support programs we carry out focused on the manufacturing industry in the TR-52 Konya-Karaman Region, our technical support for projects with training and research components aimed at identifying and mobilizing the potentials of our region continues. With this technical support project whose contract we signed, for the textile workshop planned to be established in our Yalıhüyük district, the size, capacity, and investment amount of the workshop will be determined as a result of technical estimations such as what kind of products can be produced in this workshop, what the market demand for these products is, and what the marketing volume might be. Within the study, the workforce potential of the district and its surroundings in the textile field and the possible benefits of this investment to our Yalıhüyük district will be revealed. Textile is one of the leading sectors in terms of employment intensity in our country. From this perspective, it is thought that the textile workshop planned to be brought to the district can contribute both to the economic development of the district and to a significant increase in employment in the district. With our belief that such projects will bring a new breath to our rural districts, I thank Yalıhüyük Mayor Hasan Koçer and his entire team for their great efforts in preparing this project, to which we attach importance in terms of its results and positive effects on our district, and I wish the project to be implemented to be beneficial.”

Speaking about the project they prepared, Yalıhüyük Mayor Hasan Koçer said, “Our Yalıhüyük Textile Production Center Pre-Feasibility Project, prepared under the leadership of our Municipality, was entitled to be supported by Mevlana Development Agency. This employment project, which we think will make a great socio-economic contribution to our district, will provide great benefits to our district. In line with our goals, we aim to contribute to our district's economy with this and similar projects and to reduce, even eliminate, migration from our district through employment. Since the place where we will implement the project after the feasibility is completed is ready, we will proceed to implementation shortly.
