Contracts continue to be signed for projects found successful and entitled to receive support within the scope of the Financing Support Program for Increasing Production and Youth Employment in the Manufacturing Industry, announced in 2023 by Mevlana Development Agency, which continues its work in the Konya-Karaman Region under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology General Directorate of Development Agencies.

In this direction, the contract for the “Establishment of Machinery and Personnel Infrastructure to Increase Production Efficiency in Our Cutting Tool Manufacturing Business” project, prepared by Akko Makina, was signed by Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General Dr. İhsan Bostancı and company official Ömer Karakuş.

Making statements about the project after the contract signing as an Agency, Mevlana Development Agency Secretary General Dr. İhsan Bostancı said, “As an Agency, since our establishment, we have mobilized an investment of 2.7 Billion TL with co-financing by transferring 1.45 Billion TL in current figures to our region through various support mechanisms we have implemented to increase the competitiveness of our Karaman-Konya Region, which is within our area of responsibility, to reduce inter-regional development disparities, and to promote the region to domestic and foreign investors. Lastly, with the Call for Financing Support announced by our Agency for SMEs, we aimed to increase production, productivity, and youth employment in the manufacturing industry in our region. With the Establishment of Machinery and Personnel Infrastructure to Increase Production Efficiency in Our Cutting Tool Manufacturing Business Project, whose contract we signed today, we aimed to both increase the efficiency, develop the export volume, and increase employment of our company, which manufactures turning tools, threading and grooving tools, drilling tools, milling tools, and special tools in Konya, by strengthening the machinery-equipment infrastructure needed in its production process. The total budget of the project is 7,092,575.00 TL, and 3,535,709.15 TL will be transferred by our Agency. Within the project, a CNC Universal Grinding Machine will be purchased to produce cutting tool holders, thereby aiming to achieve a 25% profit on a product basis. In addition, the fact that 3 young people will be employed within the project makes it even more valuable. As an Agency, stating that we will strive to stand by our firms in our Region in matters of production, employment, and export, as we have done so far, I wish the project to be implemented to bring benefits to our firm, our region, and our country.”
